Instrumentation: Flute and cello
Duration: 3:30
Premiere: 8/5/75
Wedding
Big Meadow, Aspen, CO

Program Note:
When the Moon of Wildflowers is Full, for flute and cello, was composed many years ago for the wedding of dear friends that took place in a beautiful meadow in high summer in Aspen, CO, where I was a composition student at the Aspen Music Festival. The music has a light, Renaissance dance-like quality, interpreted in a contemporary vein. My experiences at the Aspen Music Festival opened the door to a life in music, and to ongoing joy in its creation.
