Catelyn Hawkins performs For the Fallen

Catelyn Hawkins will perform For the Fallen in the popular version for soprano sax and electronics fashioned from the amazing Peace Bell in Rovereto, Italy. For the Fallen was commissioned by the great Italian trumpeter Ivano Ascari, and there are now versions for a variety of instruments, also including flute, with a bass clarinet version in preparation for and with clarinetist Andrea Cheeseman. The bell, originally cast from cannons melted after WWI, is an enduring symbol both of remembrance and of ongoing work towards peace carried out through the associated foundation.
