Grito del Corazon

Saxophonist Jan Barry and percussionist Stuart Gerber re perform Grito del Corazon in a version for sax, percussion and electronics, broadcast from the Herb Alpert School of Music. Originally commissioned by Ensemble Barcelona Nueva Musica, there are multiple versions for the instrumental parts + electronics. Kathy Aoki created a terrific optional video based on Goya”s tremendous Black Paintings. You can find more information here. It has been performed by a wide variety of soloists and chamber ensembles, the including Da Capo Chamber Players, Figura Ensemble and Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble.
