An abbreviated version of Patterns, set to the poem of that name by Amy Lowell, will be performed by soprano Nina Guo and  pianist Fidan Ahayeva Edler on the 24 hour Komponistinnen Piano Marathon Vol. 2, A Room Full of Voices, at the St. Elizabeth Kirche, Berlin. The program is supported by the initiative Neue music Berlin e.V. Commissioned and premiered by Soprano Amy Johnson, with pianist Kathleen Kelly, Patterns rails against societal patterns at both the individual  level of garments that stymy freedom and the anguish of the pattern that is war.
