World Premiere of Floes

Floes, in this version for music and video, is the second collaboration between artist SoHyun Bae and composer Judtih Shatin. These media will also combine with choreography by Virginie Mecene, formerly a principal dancer with the Martha Graham Company and currently director of Graham 2.Named  for the large ice sheets that  form on the surface of bodies of water, their sonic/visual collaboration embodies formation, breaking and melting – activities that are so typical of the vast melting of glaciers.
