Conductor J. Scott Ferguson and the Illinois Wesleyan University Collegiate Choir are participating in the premiere season of La Frontera (The Border). This is a setting of a poem written by an undocumented immigrant youth imprisoned in an American maximum security detention center.

Rising on the Wings of Dawn is an image from Psalm 139 which inspired this solo piece. It received its world premiere performance by violinist Wanchi, and I created the new version for viola in close consultation with violist Ayn Balija for this premiere.
